Where in the world have I been.
Blogging is not something that comes natural to me. I am still of the "spoken" word sector of life, although I enjoy reading the posts of others, it seems that I have to force it. Now summer is upon us and time for me to put on the marketing hat and go after it. We have two new products in development to be released in the next few weeks. We are also finishing off our new commercial mixing kitchen. Our schedule for this summer and fall is starting to fill up, we will be out a lot so check our website for dates and times. See you in the swamp!

Powder Weekend
Tomorrow, December 20th, we will be at Powderhorn Skiing Resort for what we call a "tasting". A tasting is basically that, we let you taste our products. It is difficult with the written and spoken word to describe the seasoning blends that Diana has crafted, but, tasting is believing. It is always so fun to see the looks on peoples faces when they try out products, the get hooked! Diana has to always scold me because I keep tasting myself. We will be tasting all of our products except the No Moosteak Grill n Rub (just don;t have room for the grill in the back of the Ford Escape), but we will have the famous Cow Kickin' Chili. Come on up, ski with Santa and say hi to us at the Zesty Moose! www.thezestymoose.com

It's Beginning to look at lot like...
Even here, where the mountains meet the desert, we have snow, and will probably experience a white Christmas this year. Having lived here for now my 16th Christmas, I think only one has been white, and it was a brown/white. The weather is going to be cold, so why not snuggle up with a great bowl of chili! Diana's "Cow Kickin" Chili Mix! No, this is not your average chili style flavor. Diana took a long time to develop many of her seasoning blends. I thought chili was just some meat, tomatoes, beans and chili powder, but now I have experienced something totally different. If you look at the ingredients, it doesn't even have chili powder in it, but it does have an incredible blend of cumin, basil oregano etc. The Homesteader, in Steamboat Springs CO, carries our products. When Diana first stopped in to inquire about them carrying our products, they where sceptical. Diana left them a couple of samples, one being the chili. We had not heard anything for a couple of weeks but then the call came from Ellen at the Homesteader and she remarked; "that's the best chili I've ever tasted!" They began carrying our products and probably sell more chili than any of our other retailers. So try it, it will be a taste experience like none other!

Welcome to the Moose News
Shameless promotion is my favorite way to try and blow my own horn without a lot of fanfare. This blog is dedicated to the promotion of my wife's business, The Zesty Moose. I am trying to promote it in every way, without the aide of knowing much about internet marketing, so, here goes. You can go to our website at www.thezestymoose.com and browse through the information. My wife created all the seasoning blends from scratch in an effort to get away from food preservatives (especially MSG), and additives which really hamper good eating. "the Moose Guy" moniker came off of a comment on another blog after responding to some nice feedback. ( I was also called Mr. Moose, but I'm going with the Moose Guy). Check back often for posts and please share this "shameless promotion" with any and everyone.
